toyota new lounch

When Toyota first introduced its it became obvious that the new-generation Prius hybrid was in the works. The vehicle's exterior cues were unmistakable; outlining the same hatchback configuration which the company said would enclose a brand new 500cc flex-fuel hybrid propulsion system.

Of course that's last year's news. Today speculations are mostly put to rest, confirming that 1/X is in fact the next Prius. out the data and adds that the "new Prius will be 3 inches to 4 inches longer than the current model and it will get a 50 horsepower boost." The subsequent version will also boast greater efficiency, thanks in part to its modern carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) body and more advance engine electronics.

The car was on display earlier this year at the 2008 Tokyo Auto Show and will be coming stateside for the Detroit show in 2009.

Toyota Scion 2010

Founded in 2003, Scion is an interesting brand. Owned by Toyota Motor Corporation, it was created with the single aim of appealing to Generation Y consumers.

With the big T suffering the “fridge-on-wheels” image problem with younger buyers, Scion has managed to lift sales where needed. So far the brand only exists in the U.S. and all Scion vehicles are front-wheel drive hatchbacks, but that might all change.

So here is the rumour, there is talk of Scion making its way to Europe. Yep, an American Japanese car for Europeans.
